The Romanians has originally been the left-flank guard, supposed to defend the river crossings. At the urging of the Germans the Romanians had crossed the river and cut the road and railway links into Gordinische. The Soviets now intended to drive them back over the river.

The Romanians started on table, in the tree-line mainly. A Soviet infantry platoon was supported by a Soviet tank platoon of BA-10 armoured cars. |
The Romanians have three squads, a Pz38T and a captured BA-10. Plus guns and MMG etc. |
A Soviet Machine Gun Artillery Platoon attacked south of the river. |
A Soviet BA-10 burns as the Soviets press. |
A long-range fire fight south of the river. |
As the Romanians fall back, a second Romanian platoon arrived from reserve. The units start to get mingled up. |
The Soviets prepare to storm the bridge as their colleagues provide long-range cover. |
Fighting in the woods is confused and bloody. |
Close-range fire fights on the bridge. |
The Romanians start to get the upper hand. |
Romanian reserves arrive to secure the bridge. |
The Soviets retreat as their third BA-10 burns. |
The Soviets gain temporary control of the bridge but retreat in line with the other platoons. |
After the battle the Romanians re-organised thier units as one platoon retired to re-build,
